Schedule and purpose for international course

in Class 7, Junior 1

Teacher: Robinson, James. Merrill

Step 1: Rival. PK

Content: Interchange, Page 5, section 7 conversation

Purpose: This step mainly designed to help or force the students use the dialogue from the text book, not only reciting, but to make a conversation in everyday life.

Regulation:

  1 win(not outstanding) gain 3 points and 1 lost(not outstanding) lose 3 points

  1 win(outstanding) gain 6 points and 1 lost(not outstanding) lose 3 points

  1 win(not outstanding) gain 3 points and 1 lost(outstanding) lose 6 points

  1 win(outstanding) gain 6 points and 1 lost(outstanding) lose 6 points

 

Step 2: Pre-study show

Content: Interchange, Unit 2 page 9, section 4 conversation

Purpose: This step mainly cultivate students’ self-study ability. They need to learn on their own before, underlined the points that they don’t understand. Through GROUP DISCUSSION, good students can help bad students’ solving their problems. If there are still some questions they can’t figure out, teachers will solve them eventually.

Regulation:

  5 min reading on their own and underlined their questions(Questions should only be Meaning, Usage and Pronunciation)

  5 min group discussion to solve the remained questions

  3 min to write the unsolved questions on the blackboard

  Teachers’ lecturing time

 

Step 3: Word. PK

Content: Interchange, Unit 2 page 9, section 4 conversation

Purpose: To check the mastery of some NOT SO GOOD STUDENTS of this class

Regulation:

  Camp leader will choose their rival camp weak students to answer the meaning of the words in this passage.

  Using the structure “What does ‘……’ mean?” to ask questions.
